Matthew Pinner is a semi-professional self-taught landscape photographer who is based along Dorset and Hampshire. He started his photography journey 6 years ago after his grandfather passed away and left his tripod to him. Although relatively new to the world of photography Matt has immersed him self in it and has built quite a reputation.
“Photography for me is such a massive part of my life and I couldn’t imagine not having my camera nearby for that just in case moment. I always like to say “you miss every shot you don’t take””
After starting off with a Canon 60D Matthew worked his way through various cameras before settling with his Canon 5DmkIV; being ever the adventurer his camera must brave all weathers and seasons trying to capture that perfect image. Most of his time is spent scouring Dorset and Hampshire; with all their valleys and iconic views it gives a wide range to entice any person out let alone a photographer.
Being based in Dorset, Matthew is never short of inspiration or subjects for his work but he does like to expand his horizons and push himself in different areas, he is a huge fan of the national parks in places such as Devon and Wales, as well as his love of the Lake District. At least once a year Matthew likes to take his family to one of these places to admire the beautiful areas as well as getting to explore with his camera.
Matt is also the author of two excellent photographic books, “Dorset in Photographs” and “Hampshire in Photographs”, available on his website.
“I’m really looking forward to working further with Nisi and getting involved with all the Meet-Ups. The Nisi filters are such amazing pieces of equipment and really do help to take your images that much further.”
